In our FINAL Sicilian episode, we visit Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina and the gorgeous city of Enna! Villa Romana del Casale is a 4th century AD Roman Villa that houses some of the most incredible – and compelling – series of Roman mosaics anywhere in Europe. Right in the center of Sicily lies Enna, known until 1926 as Castrogiovanni, and towering above the surrounding countryside, it has earned the nicknames ‘Belvedere’ and ‘Ombelico di Sicilia’, which literally translates to the Navel of Sicily!
