LAY HO MA everyone! There's a reason fried rice is one of everyone's favourite Chinese dishes! I cannot believe that I'm almost 200 episodes in and I have not filmed a fried rice episode! Join me in this episode and learn how to make fried rice not only easily, but without a wok. That's right! I'm going to show you how to make fried rice in a stainless steel pan without sticking! Let's begin.
Ingredients:
2-3 pieces of garlic
1 small piece ginger
1 carrot
4 bok choy
2 tbsp grapeseed oil
1/2 cup corn kernels
2 cups leftover rice
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 stick green onion
Directions:
1. Mince the garlic and ginger. Slice the carrot, and roughly chop the bok choy
2. Heat up a sauté pan on medium high heat and add the grapeseed oil
3. Give the pan 2-3 minutes to heat up
4. Sauté the garlic and ginger for 5-10 sec, then add the carrot and bok choy
5. Add the corn and rice
6. Add the sesame oil and soy sauce
7. Sauté for 2-3min
8. Turn the heat off and plate the rice
9. Garnish with freshly chopped green onion
