Journey's in Himachal Ep-2 |  Monsoon Season Series | Manali to Lahaul Valley I

My further Journey started from Manali to District Lahaul and Spiti, .After Entering the Lahaul Valley from Atal Tunnel , scenic beauties dramatically changed , beautiful everywhere ,  traveler can see the Chandra river originating from Chanader tal (a source river of the Chenab)

We halted for while in Village named  Sissu , this village comes first if you are coming from Manali side (Via Atal Tunnel ). Small population mainly farmers and growers of Potatoes , Broccoli  and Cauliflower and Apples, Peas . These are the major cash crop here.

Few Hotels and Homestay and Resutrants are there in this Village.

Chandertal lake is 77 KM as per Sign Board of BRO at the end of Tunnel North Portal side where right hand side roads leads to Spiti Valley and Chander tal Lake.

So one can make the Sissu Village as the base halting point  for going to Chander tal and Spiti valley.
