Craftsman model# 103.23870 wood lathe;
Craftsman model# 103.23870 wood lathe; manufactured by King Seeley for Sears, this one probably dates to the 50's. When I got the lathe it had been assembled incorrectly and had some issues but despite that it was apparently gently used enough to wear down the center of the tool rest unless it came that way from the factory. The bearings need replaced but I soaked them in oil and they work fine for now. The slight knocking sound was a loose pulley, the set screw had backed itself out a tad.
