This student has a low GPA but a solid upward trend at a community college. Is she ready to apply this cycle? Or should she delay to complete a master's program at a prestigious university?

A while ago, our student had a 2.82 cGPA and 2.59 sGPA, due to being a student athlete and switching from the European education system and not being used to the way US university courses are graded.
But now she's taken 27 credits with a 4.0 in her community college postbac. So now her cGPA is at a 3.01, with her sGPA at a 2.89. She will hopefully get to a 2.96 sGPA soon, and she's wondering if she should keep going until it's a 3.0 sGPA. But she also has questions about a potential Master's program!
Along with discussing that issue, we also cover:
• If you retake a class at a different institution, does it still count as a repeat? And how does that look?
• Do P/NP credits affect your GPA at all? And is that factored into how Mappd shows your GPA?
• Can she reuse activity descriptions from the first time she applied to medical school?
• Is it "very very important" for her to get non-scribing shadowing hours here in the US, if she already has them in Spain?
