Paint Motorcycle Muffler Exhaust Pipe...
When chrome motorcycle mufflers get scratched and rust, a high heat flat black paint is a nice chrome alternative. In this video we review the VHT primer and paint and show how it has held up over the past couple of months.
Step-by Step
1. Sand with 80 grit sandpaper
2. Sand with 150 grit sandpaper
3. Clean with wax and grease remover
4. Coat with primer (3 total coats waiting 10 min in between coats)
5. Let primer fully dry
6. Wet sand with 80 grit sandpaper
7. Clean off with wax and grease remover
8. Coat with paint (3 total coats waiting 10 min in between coats)
9. Bake 30 min at 200 degrees
10. Cool for 20 min
11. Bake 30 min at 400 degrees
12. Cool for 20 min
13. Bake 30 min at 600
14. Cool and enjoy!
