Military Exercise

After earlier in the year having been selected to host a major NATO exercise which involves military unites from serveral nations the airport has mostly been closed down for civilian aviation during the course of the exercise. Only a hand full of regular civilian routes that specially had to be pre approved ahead of the exercise will be handled during the morning hours as otherwise the airpots operations have been handed over to the Royal Air Force.

Each season of the series will play out 1 year with season 3 portraying the year 2005 at the airport.

Cardiff is a fictional series that will feature made up but also inspired by real life events from the respective time period. The air traffic displayed is picked to fit the time period but for entertainment purposes there are some historical inaccuracies throughout the series.
