Watch as baby Vicent, born at 34 weeks, has his very first bath in NICU.
The NICU uses the swaddled bath technique. Here the baby is loosely swaddled in a blanket and gently lowered into warm water. Each limb is unwrapped, washed, then wrapped back up again, to keep the calm and contained during the bath so it is an enjoyable experience for both the baby and the family.
There are no little frightened arms and legs outstretched with a high-pitched cry.
