Since our focus has been on showing how to make healthy food in your kitchen and minimizing buying products off the shelf, our channel would be incomplete without the recipes for the many masala powders frequently used in Indian cooking.

So we present to you MILLET MAGIC MASALA BOX

The first recipe in this playlist is that of Sambar powder

Ingredients

Dhania seeds                  400 gms
Red chilies                       250 gms ( if you are specific about the colour 175 gms spicy variety, ex
                                         Guntur chilies + 75 gms  the ones which impart colour, ex byadigi chillies)
Jeera                                 50 gms
Methi                                 50 gms
Mustard.                           40 gms
Black pepper                    40 gms
Curry leaves                     8 twigs (washed and dried in the shade)
Cinnamon                         2 inches
Dried turmeric rhizome  2 inches

Optional Channa dal        50 gms
                Urad dal             50 gms
