10 Countries That DISAPPEARED

Many of the most interesting countries from history don't exist any more. They simply aren't on the map. Of all the countries that don't exist though, some lasted a very short period of time, while others stood strong for centuries. The obvious example is Tibet, which until the 1950s was an independent nation ruled by the Dalai Lama. But few people outside of India are aware of Sikkim, an Indian state that for hundreds of years was an independent kingdom.
