Meet Tommy Braybrook, a passionate citrus grower from Mildura, Victoria. Coming from a farming background, Tommy now grows fresh Australian citrus, including Imperial mandarins, navel oranges, grapefruit and lemons across four farms. Tommy loves going grocery shopping at Woolies with the family so he can show his kids where his fruit ends up.
Citrus-growing is hands-on all year-round, and it’s not without its challenges, especially from the climate. Frost has the potential to ruin citrus crops by freezing or marking them. Hear how Tommy and his team cleverly combat climatic obstacles and keep the orchard’s temperature above freezing.
