Not the best video copy
Not the best video copy of "This is Delta" as it has some initial annoying technical problems. However, it gets better as the film progresses. Otherwise, this is a classic 1950s business promotional movie that pretty well tells what Delta Airlines was like as an airline in the late 1950's. Nice footage of then CEO and founder of Delta, C.E. Woolman (originally from Urbana, IL), giving a short talk about the airline's development. Wonderful shots of now vintage Delta aircraft with the "Flying D" livery such as the Douglas DC-6 and DC-7, Convair 440 and even a shot of a Curtiss C-46 "Commando," Air Freighter. Happy Landings!
