THE END OF THE MONGOMERY CANAL

Walked from the site Refail bridge 129 the end of the 12mile navigable Welshpool section of the Montgomery canal to Berriew Aqueduct and back .A family of ducks having fun on a bank of silt from stream entering the canal.  It started to rain so had quick look at Berriew lock and the on to Belan Locks Volunteers have done an exceptional job of keeping the locks and grounds looking good this year the weather has been atrocious
