The enhanced community quarantine is
The enhanced community quarantine is in effect all over the Metro Manila. The key areas of the capital (NCR) has military / police checkpoints to safeguard and monitor people. People were issued quarantine passes in order to purchase food and buy important necessities. Almost 80 to 90% of the major roads in the National Capital Region are carless. You could mostly see motorcycle riders plying the roads bringing food deliveries and other things. No mass transportation operating, trains bus and other public transports are suspended. Private cars could go out with one passenger bringing proper papers as mandated by the government. The entire capital was put to a pause as we are waiting for a favorable result of the Covid19 figures. It is a hard time indeed for the country.
You rarely see the main thoroughfare without cars. This is far better than Good Friday or holy week. It is like a scene from the walking dead or some zombie apocalypse. Please stay home if you do not have any important matter to attend to for your safety and avoid going out, you might not know if the air has some of those virus particles and mostly always wear a mask.
Upon going home from delivering necessities to Valenzuela, i decided to pass EDSA instead of the inner roads. I measured the travel with a timer along the video, hope this video can aid the traffic planners too in measuring travel time and further studies. Average speed 60 kph to 80kph. With the bad road condition have mercy on the car shocks. Landers Balintawak was full of people and i dont want to wait further (kind of becoming claustrophobic with people around an enclosed area)
Always include the country to your personal prayers that we can go back to our normal lives with this pandemic. Stay healthy, stay safe!
