In this episode, students learn a little more about our financial institution: the bank. A bank is basically a financial institution that allows you to deposit and withdraw your money. The bank is a financial establishment that invests money deposited by customers, pays it out when required, makes loans at interest, and exchanges currency. Today, they also provide other services like loans, investment and insurance.(Bank = a place to deposit and withdraw money)
When the bank was first created, they only provided 2 services; receiving money and giving loans with interest.There are a few types of bank accounts you can open depending on the purpose. There is the normal savings account, (Normal Savings Account =) the current account where you can use cheques, the fixed deposit that gives you a higher interest rate and internet banking where you can do your banking from the comfort of your own home.
