I am building my own LED light fixtures again. I am building off of my previous ideas, and also incorporating in some of John Heisz's ideas (from the ibuildit.ca channel)
This time I am adding diffusers to smooth out the light and reduce the hotspots. I also am trying out some solid state DC power supplies that are dead silent - as opposed to the hum coming from the PC power supply (used in my previous LED lighting project)
I like the end results, but it's still hard for low cost LED strips to beat the brightness of fluorescent fixtures.
