Understanding Amazon RDS Blue/Green Deployment

We're excited to welcome Girish Mukim of AWS for a discussion of Amazon's new Blue/Green deployment capabilities for RDS. Blue/green deployment is a deployment strategy that involves creating two identical environments (blue and green) and switching between them. In the context of Amazon RDS, blue/green deployment is used to deploy changes to a database instance without causing extended downtime or data loss. This is a new feature introduced in AWS Re:Invent 2022 (Nov'22). The presentation is expected to be highly beneficial for AWS professionals as it will help them grasp the concept and also understand implementation of the new feature. Girish will explain this deployment strategy along with benefits and limitations followed by practical demo.
