D.I.Y. instructions for homemade massage balm: You will need - - 1/2 cup (125ml) Coconut oil - 30ml Olive oil - 20ml Peppermint oil - 20ml Eucalyptus oil - 1/2 cup Menthol crystals - 40ml Wintergreen oil (add more for extra heat, or less for more subtle heat) - 1 cup beeswax chunks - Baking tin - Large baking tray/pan - Water - Container for the finished balm 1) Add water to the large baking pan/try and place on a BBQ top or heat source Bring the water to a simmer and keep it there 2) Place the baking tin in the baking pan so it sits in the water 3) Add the coconut oil, olive oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, wintergreen oil 4) Add in the menthol crystals 5) Add the beeswax chunks and stir until the beeswax melts 6) Once melted, use cloth or oven mitts to lift the baking tin from the water (be careful, as it will be hot) and pour the mixture carefully into the container you will store it in And now you're done! Allow it to cool before use. Modifications: - Add more beeswax for a thicker/firmer consistency, or less for a more oily consistency - More wintergreen and menthol = more intense heat sensation. This batch was moderate intensity. If you have sensitive skin consider halving the wintergreen and menthol. Let me know how it goes and share with friends and family
