How to Permanently Delete Your Amazon Account

In this tutorial video, we’ll walk you through the steps of permanently deleting your account on Amazon. It’s pretty easy to do, and the process doesn’t take very long. Check out the steps written below.

To delete an Amazon account, go to amazon.com and log in. At the bottom, click Help. Place your cursor over Need More Help. Click Contact Us. Click “Prime or Something Else”. In the dropdown, click Account Settings. In the next dropdown, click Close My Account. Choose how you want to contact Amazon.

Tips for deleting your Amazon account:
1. Be patient when waiting to speak to a customer service representative.
2. Make sure you mention that you’d like your account deleted permanently, and not just temporarily deactivated.
3. When selecting items from the dropdown menus, ensure that you have selected the correct item. It’s easy to accidentally click the wrong one.
