What's it like to use a PlayStation TV in 2023?

The #PlayStationTV is a #PlayStationVita for the living room that immediately failed upon hitting the market in 2013. 10 years later, and the device still suffers from many of the same issues that caused it to sell poorly at launch. Still, given that we can fix those issues and it's still basically a Vita, is it finally worthwhile to pick one up?

Recording Notes:

To get around the PS TV's HDCP limitations and record gameplay, I used an HDCP-compliant HDMI splitter (link: https://amzn.to/3KokijI) to transfer the video out signal to my Elgato 4K60. Meanwhile, for external shots playing games on my laptop, I displayed the gameplay using OBS connected to a Genki Shadowcast (link: https://amzn.to/3WXnsji).
