5 TYPES OF VOCALIC R
There are 5 different types of vocalic r:
er (r)
ar (are)
Ar (air)
Or (or)
eer (ear)

As I work with one of my students you'll notice that she is able to pronounce specific R vowels, and other R vowels she has a harder time pronouncing. This is usually the case with everyone! Do you know which R vowel you have a harder time with? Try pronouncing the words in my Vocalic R chart and see which ones are harder for you to say. If you feel that one type of vocalic r is harder to pronounce then you know which one you need to practice more!
