How do you come up with card making ideas?

I get asked this question a lot.  I use card making patterns to get my creativity going.  First, I choose a pattern.  Next I choose a stamp set that works well with that pattern...or I pick the stamp set first and then the pattern.  Finally (and this is my favorite part) I grab a bunch of colors and decide which ones are going to go together.
