In this video I'll show you how to install a kitchen tap. I did it myself! I replaced my old, worn out flick mixer kitchen tap with a shiny new Estilo Side Lever Sink Mixer. I'll take you through each step, explain what I'm doing and, at the end of the video, I'll tell you what the hardest part of the job was.
Originally, I was only going to replace the cartridge in the old leaking tap but it cost $34 and would take a week to arrive! Pfft! I've wanted a new tap for a long time so this seemed like a good opportunity.
I purchased the Estilo Side Lever Sink Mixer from Bunnings for $63 (September 2021). I thought this was really good value as all the other "high" taps (as I call them) were well over $100! I grabbed the last one on the shelf!
I was worried it might look too big for my kitchen but it looks great! and it's so much easier to wash big items like baking trays and the wok!
