French Dressing

1/2 cup vinegar (I used
1/2 cup vinegar (I used white but apple cider vinegar is fine)
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon dry mustard (or 1 Tablespoon of regular mustard)
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoons of very finely mince onion (I used caramelized, just because I had just finished a batch)
1 cup oil of your choice
Reserve oil for last. Whisk all other ingredients in a bowl. Slowly drizzle in your oil in while whisking. If using fresh onion, you may wish to mix in a food processor. Better if made the day before you need it or refrigerate at least several hours before needed. Makes about 2 1/4 cups. Keep stored in refrigerator. Enjoy!
