Here is the original Washington Metro Rail Car in service on Aug 30, 2014. The 1000 series are the original cars that were made for the Metro In Washington DC that opened in the late 70's.
The 1000 series are soon to be retired and replaced with the 7000 series cars..here is a rare video of car 1000 still in passenger service.
