how to rewire a cut harness car stereo

Special note . for vehicles with an external amplifier like jbl bose moonsoon etc. you will need to power up the factory amp turn on wire with a 12 volt signal to pop the speakers in the verification process . use can use the vehicles constant 12 volt wire from the stereo harness and probe the remanding wires and then try and pop the speakers make sure to install a fuse in line though on the 12 volt wire for saftey purposes. you can also check forums for the wire color of the amp turn on and go from there. it is best to find all of the wires first like 12 constant 12 switched , ground , dimmer, power antenna first this helps in better chances of tracking the amp turn on wire

when you buy a new stereo you buy a install part called the wiring harness this harness connects to the back of the new stereo then plugs into the vehicles factory molex plug, but when someone cuts off the factory stereo molex plug you are no longer able to just wire up the harness together color for color this video shows you how to idenify the stereo circuits in the vehicle using a multimeter. this is an advanced video for advanced installers .
