Needing inspiration and fun, I
Needing inspiration and fun, I have been opening blind bags with my fellow creator, Daze, on our channel Blind Bag Hags. We’ve made it a rule, or more of a guideline really, to create something out of duplicates we get.
This time round, I used the duplicate Cleo for a Disney Doorable MultiPeek Pack. During this project, I had a major problem occur (totally my fault), and made for a learning experience about knowing your materials.

Materials:
UV Resin – clear, light blue and white
Sculpey Premo polymer clay in the following colors:
Olive Green
Gray Granite
Translucent
Red
Glass Beads
Chalk Pastels
Black Sharpie
Paintbrushes
Wooden Skewers
Craft Wire
Silicone Shaping Tools
Bug Catcher container found in the toy section of Dollar Tree, but I did find them on Amazon in a 9 pack. The Dollar Tree pack had 3. Here’s the Amazon link (not an affiliate link btw): https://www.amazon.com/Js-ToyScape-Co...
Parchment paper
Rubbing Alcohol
Baby Wipes
And due to fails in process – and my fault due to not thinking about the materials and how they behave chemically:
Sandpaper of various grits to smooth out resin
Pliers to peel off the container from the resin after said fail because I chose the wrong type of container
Patience…lots of patience
Total work time ~ roughly 2+ hands-on hours not including fails, brain farts, scraping of experiments gone wrong, and definitely not including drying time. I spent a ton of time peeling and sanding which is not included in the above time as I feel knowing my screw up will help someone else avoid one. But I will say, there is something satisfying to sanding down acrylic to a milky cloud finish and then slapping that resin top coat on and watching it just shine smooth and crystal clear.
