Welcome back to Biglin Lawn Care. In today's video I will be transforming a corner property with multiple overgrown palm trees. I found this lawn while driving around and quickly realized it was abandoned. I spoke to a few neighbors, who all said the owner just up and left almost overnight about a year ago.
I decided to clean up this property for the neighborhood. After I got started I spoke to a man who claimed to be the Uncle of the man who owns the property. The man and his nephew both move here from Peru but the nephew had to move back to take care of his sick wife.
The Uncle lives a few blocks away and stopped to talk to me when he saw me doing the work. I told him I do this type of work for free, but he insisted on paying me. He gave me $100 at the end of the day. I told him I could not except the money but he insisted that if someone did work for him, especially a big job like this one, he needed to pay them for the work. I ended up accepting the money.
What do you guys think? Was it a good thing to accept the money or do you think I should have been more persistent about not taking payment? I hope you all enjoy the video and I'll see you next time!
