Max Fleischer kept making cartoons
Max Fleischer kept making cartoons when Fleischer Studios ended in 1941. We have found then, some you may have seen, but not in this remastered condition I will bet you! and some you have never seen. These cartoons are the level of animation of Superman, but on far different subjects, there was a time in the 1940's that top companies were willing to pay Max just about anything he wanted to make them an exclusive cartoon.
These rare cartoons were shown once in the theater and never seen again, but one good copy of each remained and we have remastered the complete versions from raw beginning to raw ending, so you can even see who they were actually made for! The animation is amazing, and the look is somewhere between Fleischer and Disney, because some of the animators went with Max, most went with Dave, but there were many available from Disney during WW 2 since the demand for animation had fallen off for obvious reasons, money!
This last hurrah ended in 1947, when Max became an executive and never again did major animation projects as an animation director. But he had one last masterpiece up his sleeve, one we have included at the end of this collection as a bonus! My friend in the Fleischer family allowed me to remaster from an original pristine 35 mm master copy, Rudolf the Red Nosed Raindear. This is the clearest, crispest most scratch free version you will ever see. 100% of the original footage from it's first theatrical release is all here for your enjoyment. And the color, wait until you see that bright original 3 color genuine unfaded Technicolor from the 1940's, amazing!
So I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I did restoring it, oh and I pop up from time to time to explain the history behind a few of the cartoons, so you can put in context why they were made and when they were made.
