Three migrants drown attempting to cross Greek-Macedonian border

Tragedy has struck on the blocked Greek-Macedonian border, with three migrants dying attempting to cross.    

Macedonian police say two men and a woman have drowned while trying to cross a river swollen by heavy rain.  

The drownings happened near the Macedonian town of Gevgelija.

The tragedy comes amid reports that eight people are missing after a migrants boat sank off the Greece island of Kos.
