▪︎Are tattoos permissible?

There is no sufficient evidence for the prohibition of tattoos in the Shia school of thought. This is in opposite to the opinion of most Sunnis who consider it forbidden.

However, it is not befitting for the respected believers to get tattoos, and imitate the actions of some illogical people. Don't be a blind sheep, in following everything that is trending.

People get a tattoo for different reasons. Some for attention, or as a form of expressing their feelings, and some do it to look tough. I am sure there are more logical things that can be done to face our insecurities, and to present ourselves in a better way.
