Gypsy (Demo) Stevie Nicks - Heather Riley

This is the Demo version of Gypsy, originally recorded by Stevie Nicks in 1979 and later released by Fleetwood Mac on Mirage in 1982. The electric keyboard that would have been used in Stevie’s demo is similar to the one here but may have been a Wurlitzer 200A.

Tonight I decided to record this song on our old Wurlitzer 140B that belonged to Barry Beckett, he was part of the Muscle Shoals rhythm section and this electric piano was housed at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio (3614 Jackson Highway) between April 1969 - 1985. It would have been used on countless sessions and today it is in our living room, it is around 60 years old now.
