Accidentally woke a sleeping turtle while free solo shore diving

During a morning shore dive in South Florida, I came across sea turtles, snappers, triggerfish, and mackerels.

I also ran into a loggerhead turtle sleeping on the bottom but they seemed to wake as I came near.

Although sea turtles do need to surface to breathe, they can hold their breath for between four and seven hours while resting.
