Singju, the taste of Manipur || Varieties of finely chopped fresh vegetables when mix together in right proportion with perfect seasoning of aromatic condiments like ground perilla seeds, roasted besan …the taste heightened by garnishing of local exotic herbs is simply the best traditional delicacy of my state || just like our abode of heaven where where different ethnic communities come together as one ☝🏻#unityindiversity ✌🏻#singju #singjulovers #manipur #manipuridelicacy #msnipurifoodie #manipurifood #salad #healthyfood
Ingredients required ( finely choped vegetables):
*1 plate (Serving for 4 people )
Cabbage , 2 handful
Green papaya / Awathabi , 1 handful
Pea plant buds/ Hawaimaton , 2 handful
Lotus roots/ Thambou , 1 handful
Exotic aromatic herbs: (mixture , 1 handful )
Lomba/ Elsholtzia griffithii
Phakpai/ Creeping Himalayan knotweed
Coriander leaves
Onion
Others :
Besan / gram flour (roasted ), 1 & 1/2 tbsp
Thoiding /Perilla seed powder (roasted ), 1 tbsp
Chakhawai / rice bean 🫘 , 3 tbsp
Mangan anouba / roasted white peas , 3 tbsp
Paphor makon / papad (cylindrical shape ), 5/6
Ngari , morok metpa ( coarse paste of roasted fermented fish - red chilli ), 1 tbsp
Salt , as per taste
Chilli powder , 1/2 tsp ( can add more for more spicy flavour )
Preparation :
Mix all this ingredients together with your hand , nice & proper , Then enjoy
