Mike revives a song he first recorded with the Beach Boys in 1963, when it appeared as a track on their album, “Surfer Girl”. The Beach Boys’ “Hawaii” was released as a 45 in Australia in 1964 and reached #9 on the local charts.
Adrian Baker has recorded a lot of Beach Boys’ songs himself. He had a #11 UK hit in 1981 when his group Gidea Park released a medley of Beach Boys’ hits entitled, “Beach Boy Gold”. Adrian has also had three stints touring with the Beach Boys.
