In this video we see if a 7watt and a 24 watt J-Tech lasers can be used on one CNC. Spoiler – IT CAN BE DONE! Watch how I take two diode lasers (a 7watt that is better for engraving and a 24 watt diode laser that is better for cutting) and incorporate the two so they work on one CNC to get the best of both worlds.
I have the Onefinity original Woodworker (32" x 32"), one 7 watt J-Tech Diode laser, and one 24 watt diode laser. I wire them both to the black box Onefinity controller and they each use their respective controllers to power each laser.
The key to using them safely is the actual key. I use one key and put the extras away out of reach. This makes it so only one laser can be used at a time.
