I'm honestly exhausted. It's a very difficult time here in Melbourne with another lockdown and the whole family is just super flat.
I'm not sure what the future holds but hopefully we can continue this journey together.
Stay safe and look out for one another as i know you all will.

Imagine this... When you buy a brand new CPAP Machine has a small QR Sticker it. If you scan that sticker it takes you to a webpage where you can view and purchase all the main components that make up your CPAP machine. It has information on their expect life span and detailed instructional and trouble shooting videos on how to replace and install the main components.
You could also have the option to have your machine fixed by an accredited repair technician at an extra cost if you were not comfortable in performing the repairs yourself. You could also upgrade new device firmware or view your cloud data etc
Here's another great idea! Imagine if you could just connect your cpap up to you computer and open a program that runs a test simulation on your cpap and provides you with an analysis report with what the problem is and components that need fixing / replacing. I noticed on the DS2 they have a hidden port that i imagine is used for this purpose.
I know i'm only dreaming but just how incredible would it be if a company started offering services that support their older models instead of making it difficult and expensive to repair equipment.
You wouldn't have to provide the parts forever, just have a 10 year support period before components become obsolete. A CPAP should last 10 years or more.
CPAP Machines break down but what is your 'right to repair' and are the manufacturers practicing 'planned obsolescence"?
The brand new Dreamstation 2 from Philips has only a 2 year warranty! When that ends they have put in place strategic 'fixed price repair' servicing which makes their design and manufacturing faults very profitable! But are they actually faults or are they designed that way?
I'm a strong believer in 'the right to repair'. You have should always have the option to either buy components and fix the equipment yourself or pay a fair and reasonable price to have it fixed by the company.
Unfortunately nearly all the cpap companies don't want you to repair your equipment if there is a fault so they make it extremely expensive and difficult to do so.
