This is a demonstration of how to remove the lock cylinder on a Kwikset SmartKey door knob so you can flip over the lock so the keyhole is not upside down. This procedure will fix your upside down keyhole. You do not need the Kwikset cylinder removal tool (81467-003 http://amzn.to/2alyXLO) to remove the lock cylinder from this entry knob.
To do this job, you will need a small screwdriver a long screwdriver and a small hammer.
