February 8, 1997 - Fans were generally displeased with Darvin Ham's round 1 score of 36.0 in the 1997 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. The three finalists selected over Ham all failed to complete all three of their first round jams (each fellow contestant - Chris Carr, Kobe Bryant, Michael Finley - missed one of their three attempts) while Ham attempted and completed all three of his dunks on his first attempt.
