In this video we look at the basic set up to perform a relative compression test with PicoScope. I am using the PicoScope 2204A and Hantek CC-650 current amp clamp. We will look at a good engine first and then install a fault to see if the test will help diagnose the problem. The relative compression check is a great way to get an idea of overall engine condition, but how accurate is it?! Let's find out. You would perform this compression test if you suspected a loss of compression or you had a misfire on one of the cylinders.
