Would you spend £200 on Japanese steak?
We have been trying to visit Hot Stone Steak & Sushi Bar in London for the last two years and we finally made it!
They specialise in Wagyu and they are one of the only eight restaurants in the UK that serve CERTIFIED Kobe Beef!
We had the Wagyu Experience which cost only £29 each as a 3-course menu offer. To complete the experience, we added a 3-course premium sake & wine pairing, upgraded some of our dishes, and tried Kobe Beef for the very first time! A5 all the way.
Everything was delicious. Besides the wagyu, the butterfish sashimi with truffle spicy ponzu that came with the set meal needs a special mention! The flavour combination was amazing, and defo a must order if you ever visit.
Honestly, my expectations were so high I didn’t leave any room for disappointment. The service was on point, the servers were super friendly and they really did complete the whole experience for us. (I also spilled my sake and they were so kind to give me another one!)
We spent an additional £140 on top of the set meal, but the upgrade was worth it imo. Already looking forward to my next visit! It’s the closest I will get right now to being in Japan… sigh.
