as a fellow home baker you may agree, baking is a delightful way to enjoy a quiet Sunday afternoon. I love how the aroma spreads inside the house when I’m baking bread. don't you?

just imagine that warm sweet aromatic nutty and wheaty goodness filling the air. doesnt that just make you wanna go and pull out that loaf before its finished baking? yessss... it does!

i'd be curious though, what’s your favorite bread to bake?

🙄did you know...

windmills were used to mill flour? yup! but now thanks to electricity, you can use an electric flour mill instead of a wind powered one.

Grinding your own flour is one way for you to ensure that your whole wheat flours not only have the ultimate flavor, but also nutrition too!  The Mockmill Grain Mill is the best kitchen tool that can do that for you. and that's why i bought it.

Having a grain mill like the Mockmill 200 will keep your bread fresh and any other foods you decide to use your freshly milled flour in exciting, nutritious and flavorful.

Your second favorite way to enjoy home milled flour might be with pasta, which can be just as fun and tasty using your freshly milled whole grain flour!

have you tried using whole grain flour in your homemade pasta yet? because the home milled flour can be used for pasta as well as bread you can use it twice as much as you may have thought initially. 😛

🤔question of the day - if you have one, whats your favorite grain? if you dont have one, how many would you be interested in trying?

NOTES
1. if you rinse your grains, make sure your grains are completely dry for prior to grinding
2. If you’re milling corn, you may have to adjust the stone width by taking the cover off and turning the stone once or twice.
3. make sure your grains are stone free!  Stones can harm your grinder. so go with a good supplier
4. as always, try to find organic or if not, at least nonGMO grains!
5. try different grains! i bought 10 different whole grains to start!
