Amazon is always up to some pretty interesting things here in Seattle, the latest being there cashierless grocery store in Capitol Hill. My video on the original Amazon Go store: Inside the NEW Amazon Go Cashierless ...
The cashierless concept of Amazon Go was introduced in 2018, now they are tripling it in size to create a one stop shop to get all of your groceries. I went to check it out, and see if it really works- I can't believe they actually charged me for something I didn't take! Sorry Amazon for breaking your store.

How it works:
Amazon Go has several hundred (maybe more? not sure?) sensors on the ceiling tracking your every move. If you pick up an item, it's in your virtual cart. If you put it back- you won't be charged (or shouldn't be). After getting all of your groceries, you simple walk out of the store!
