So, while we are waiting for Project Zomboid build 42, we can take a look at what it would look like using what mods we have available for build 41.  This is a collection of roughly 38 mods that will mimic (almost) everything that the developers are promising when build 42 drops.  All of these mods except one have 5 star reviews
