In this month's update, The Young and Safe Project is excited to share the latest developments in our mission to empower youth in Ho, Ghana. The Ghana Education Service recently organized a Mental Health Stakeholder Engagement event, where experts and advocates came together to shape the youth mental health bootcamps. We are moving steadily toward our goal of equipping Ho's youth with essential mental well-being skills, thanks to the support of Node Eight, Love Aid Foundation, and Ho Municipal Assembly.
We're also thrilled to announce our partnership with JA Ghana to launch the application process for our second batch of Google Career Certificate Scholarships. These scholarships cover Data Analytics, Project Management, UX Design, and IT Support courses on Coursera for one hundred young individuals in Ghana, with support services to ensure a smooth transition into the workforce.
The Young and Safe project team recently convened with representatives from all Consortium members, including Node Eight, Love Aid Foundation, Ghana Education Service, Ho Municipal Directorate, and Ho Municipal Assembly. Together, we discussed updates, anticipated challenges, and devised strategies to overcome them, all while remaining focused on positive solutions.
Lastly, we had the honor of hosting executives from CalBank PLC, showcasing the impact of our projects and exploring potential collaborations. Stay tuned to learn more about our exciting journey as we continue to make a difference in the lives of young people in Ho, Ghana.
