Zimski uspon do Vlaškog grada iz pravca Malog Libinja i natrag, 26-27.1.2021.
Vlaški grad is a pronounced rocky peak above Mala Paklenica canyon (Velebit mountain range, Croatia), and one of the most picturesque viewpoints in the area of the entire Paklenica National Park. It is very steep on all sides, and it is recognizable for its rocky top section rising above the forest. In the forest close to the mountain pass below the peak, there is the mountain shelter Vlaški grad, built by members of the mountaineering society HPD Paklenica. This shelter represents a good base for climbs to Sveto brdo. However, it is worth bearing in mind that the shelter has no supplies, so hikers should carry with them all the required food, drink and equipment for overnight stay (sleeping bag). The water is obtained at the spring approximately fifty meters away from the shelter, at the trail leading towards Ivine vodice.
The peak offers a particularly beautiful view of Sveto brdo and the canyon of Mala Paklenica.
It takes about 2.5 hours to reach the summit from Libinje plateau.
In winter conditions considerably longer.

Although the Velebit mountain range is situated on the coast, it is known for unstable weather even durnig the Summer season.
In winter be careful of very low temperatures, extreme bora wind and heavy snow.
