Metra and Amtrak Trains at Roosevelt Road - Volume 6

Watch Metra and Amtrak trains just south of Chicago Union Station at Roosevelt Road, between the BNSF/Metra 14th St Yard to the west and Amtrak Chicago Yard to the east. Metra trains on the BNSF Line, Heritage Corridor and SouthWest Service, as well as Amtrak's Southwest Chief, California Zephyr, Texas Eagle, Capitol Limited, Lake Shore Limited, Cardinal, City of New Orleans, Lincoln Service, Missouri River Runner, Wolverine, Blue Water, Pere Marquette, Illinois Zephyr, Carl Sandburg, Illini and Saluki all pass this location, in addition to yard movements and Empire Builder and Hiawatha trains between Chicago Union Station and the yard. There is almost always something happening here, between trains coming or going, being moved into or out of the yards, or yard crews taking trains apart or putting them together.
