Many people in the world have an impression that Japanese is the second toughest language to learn after Chinese. Why So? They say so because of the Japanese Script. Japanese Language has three scripts. Yes, you read that right - THREE JAPANESE SCRIPTS: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Japanese use these three kinds of writing systems in combination with each other to write and read Japanese.
Hiragana is the basic component of the Japanese writing system. You can think of it as you learn A-B-C-D in the English writing system or क, ख, ग in Hindi. Similarly, Hiragana has 46 basic characters which include 5 vowels, 40 consonant-vowel unions, and 1 singular consonant. The 5 vowels are A(आ), I(इ), U(उ), E(ए), and O(ओ). Remember that most of the Japanese characters (40 consonant-vowel unions) include vowel in their consonant sound. For example, there is no sound as K (क) in Japanese, it is either Ka, Ki, Ku, Ke, or Ko. Using Hiragana, we can write all the Japanese originated or Japanese-native words.

Let's start learning Hiragana in the video.
