The Euphrates River, a great river in Western Asia.
That Together with the Tigris river, they define the territory of ancient Mesopotamia. The Euphrates has played a vital role in
history of many ancient civilizations. And in the Bible it is mentioned numerous times.
If you still do not know it, this is your opportunity to do so, as it will be the topic that we will be dealing with in this video.
This river is born in Turkey, flows through the mountains of Anatolia towards Syria and later to Iraq. The river meets the Tigris to form the Shatt al-Arab, which then empties into the Persian Gulf.
It has a length of 2780 km. And a basin of 765 831 km².
Its average flow is 830 m³ / s but varies between 300 m³ / s during the dry season and 5200 m³ / s in its maximum fluvial areas that cause flooding.
