Lake District - Walk - Striding Edge - Helvellyn - Glenridding

Alfred wainwright - There is some quality about Helvellyn which endears it in the memory of most people who have stood on its breezy top, although it can be a grim place indeed on a wild night as a rule it's a friendly giant. If it did not inspire affection would its devotees return to it so often?
I can agree with that, we visited in 2013 and experienced it's breezy top and thick fog, then in 2015 we found and enjoyed the friendly giant. This is our walk from Glenridding via striding edge to the summit of Helvellyn (950 meters) in the right conditions I can certainly recommend it.
